Even skin tone is important so we recommend that foundation be applied heavier than normal. Studio lighting may exacerbate uneven skin tones and produce “hot spots” or blotchy skin appearance. The studio also has a neutral finishing powder you may use all over your face on top of other makeup that will neutralize unnoticed oily spots that may result in a shiny appearance.
Eye makeup should also be applied heavier than normal. Some refer to this as an evening look. Your eyes are the most important thing in your photograph so we want them to look their best and to help draw the viewer’s attention to them.
