While many of our clients choose to use our professional hair stylist who specializes in boudoir photography, here are some ideas for those who choose to do their own.
The primary consideration for your hairstyle is that it looks “special.” That is, slightly different that you wear it during the day. There are several ways to accomplish this:
– Add volume with either an oversized curling iron or jumbo rollers (both available for your use in the studio)
– Use a crimping iron
– Go for a “bed head” look by dampening the hair and messing it up with your hands or shaking it
– Use the flowing hair look provided by powerful studio fans (this technique can be used by itself or in conjunction with the other methods)
Of course the desired look and techniques used will depend on your hairstyle and your preferences.
